The first bridge with FiberSmile® composite railings was placed in the Krimpenerwaard, near Rotterdam. As the client, the water board (Hoogheemraadschap) of Schieland and Krimpenerwaard underlined the advantages of the InfraCore® bridge with composite railings.

The bridge site is a hangout for older children. Therefore, its railings needed to be vandalism-proof. Next to that, the railings have a mahogany print, which makes them indistinguishable from real wooden railings. They therefore fit well in the surrounding countryside.
